KD LEKIR IS SAILING YOUR WAY

The Australian Defence Force is honoured to welcome our counterparts from the Royal Malaysian Navy (Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia) as KD LEKIR commences the Lekir Australia Deployment 2026 (LEAD ’26). This significant deployment marks another milestone in the longstanding maritime cooperation between Malaysia and Australia.

KD LEKIR’s participation will span a series of major activities, including the International Fleet Review in Sydney, Exercise KAKADU, and the MASTEX exercise in Perth—all of which underscore our shared commitment to regional security, interoperability, and collaborative naval readiness.

In an impressive demonstration of capability and endurance, KD LEKIR will also undertake a complete circumnavigation of Australia, covering diverse maritime environments across the continent.The Australian Defence Force looks forward to training, sailing, and strengthening operational ties with the distinguished crew of KD LEKIR throughout this deployment.
