HMAS Perth’s visit to Kuala Lumpur marks the ship’s first overseas port visit of the deployment, and a significant milestone for many members of the ship’s company undertaking their first international port call.
The programme included a ceremonial sunset reception on the flight deck, an onboard luncheon hosted by HMAS Perth’s Commanding Officer, Commander Dylan White, for Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) officials, as well as a ship tour for RMN cadets from the National Defence University of Malaysia.
The visit highlights the enduring partnership between the Royal Malaysian Navy and the Royal Australian Navy, underpinned by bilateral activities, FPDA exercises, maritime security cooperation, professional exchanges, and training opportunities!
