Our alumni community stands as a testament to the strength of the Malaysia-Australia defence partnership, built across generations through education, training and shared values. As Chair, I am proud to lead an Association that honors the spirit of cooperation between Malaysian and Australian defence personnel; and provides a platform for lifelong friendship, professional growth, and meaningful engagement. Whether you are reconnecting with old friends or joining us for the first time, you are part of a tradition that has a lasting impact. We look forward to your active participation as we continue to strengthen our community and support the next generation of leaders.

Australian Defence Advisor’s Welcome Message
It is a privilege to welcome you to the Malaysia–Australia Defence Alumni
Association website.
The defence partnership between Australia and Malaysia is built on more than 70 years of shared service, trust and cooperation. At its core is the personal relationships formed at every rank and level. M-ADAA represents the human dimension of this partnership; the friendships formed through training, exercises, operations and cooperation — connections that endure long after, and which continue to strengthen and sustain strong ties across generations.
For me, this connection is both professional and personal. My family’s history in Malaysia extends back to the 1700s, with service in the Malaysian, British and Australian armed forces. My own service has included Command at RMAF Butterworth reinforcing my appreciation for our shared history and future.
As Australian Defence Advisor, I am proud to support M-ADAA’s mission. I encourage all alumni—past, present and future—to remain engaged and connected, and I look forward to working with you to further strengthen this important partnership.
